In 2011, Haygarth walked along the southern coast of England, collecting every man-made item that he came across. On his return, he categorised and arranged them into ordered composition to photograph. Aside from their obvious aesthetic appeal, his pictures also tell the tale of our reckless pollution of the earth.
WWW: What went is that everything is placed neat, tidy and the colours are colourful and bright. EBI: I Could've change a background.
Form over Function
Andre Kertesz created the image 'Fork' in 1928 at this time he lived in Paris. Where he mixed with artists from the Dada movement this image is deliberately simple Kertesz is paying attention ti the photography's composition emphasising the fork's geometry and form. The fork becomes more than just a kitchen utensil Kertesz believed photography should reveal the real nature of things Whilst in Paris Kertesz felt like an outsider Kertesz expressed this loneliness through the subjects of his photographs he was able to combine formal composition with an emotive charge Henri Cartier Bresson said '' Each time Kertesz's shutter clicks I hear his heart beating''.
My Response
In this task I was required to….. to take pictures of Andre Kertesz.

Second Response: Artifical Light
Did you learn anything from the first set that might help you with your second set. I've learned that my first set of pictures are bit darker and was not in focus so I had to make it in focus and lighter.

Photo Joiners
David Hockney
David Hockney is connected to the Pop Art movement. This movement was interested in responding to Popular culture. Hockney created photo joiners that consisted of photographs taken of the same object from different perspectives. The images were then collaged together to recreate the place, person or object even though the overall appearance may look distorted. This work connects with the Cubist movement, one of Hockney's major aims.
Suzanne Saroff Homework
Suzanne saroff creates fractured images of common foods and and plants as seen through glasses filled with water. In her photographs, natural objects such as plants, fruits and vegetables are arranged behind clear water glasses and vases of all shapes and sizes, set against a neutral background. In this way, objects appear multiplied, stretched and flipped as they dance within the walls of the overlapping glasses.
